Why Take Lessons with Anita?
I adore my students and love searching for ways to excite and challenge them by finding fun music, videos or ideas to ignite their inner fires. I’ve read a lot about how brain synapses fire up – or don’t – with regard to learning and I am convinced that a student’s excitement or interest is key to learning a skill quickly. Additionally, I believe that the REAL importance of singing or playing an instrument is not to win contests (unless, of course, a student wants to compete) or to perform masterfully in front of others (which can be a real delight) or to make the brain smarter (although it certainly does that). Instead, I believe that the most important reason to learn music is because it is wonderful gift that touches us deeply in an infinite number of ways. Nothing heals our hearts like being in the middle of live beautiful music
